1. Overview
The Inbox is the primary landing area inside MelMe's My Mailbox app. This is where all incoming emails sent to the aliases connected to this specific mailbox are safely gathered and displayed in a clean, real-time list.
2. Why This Matters
An organized, real-time inbox ensures you never miss a critical client inquiry or transaction email. Having a clear visual distinction between read and unread messages helps you prioritize your daily communication workflows.
3. How to Use It
Navigating the Inbox:
- Go to the My Mailbox login page and log in using your mailbox slug and password.
- You will be automatically routed to the Inbox tab.
- The Email List: The left panel displays a vertical feed of all received messages:
- Unread Messages: Highlighted with a distinct visual indicator (e.g. blue dot) to grab your attention.
- Sender Details: Displays the sender's email, subject line, and a short snippet of the message body.
- Reading an Email: Click on any email in the list to load the full, formatted HTML message and its conversation history in the right reading panel.
4. Common Mistakes
- Logging in with an administrator email: Remember, the My Mailbox app is specifically for individual inboxes. You must log in using your mailbox Slug (e.g.
support-inbox) and the mailbox password. - Confusing Inbox with Spam: If a verified alias doesn't receive a test email immediately, check the Admin Panel logs to verify if it was received by MelMe.
5. Tips
Real-Time Sync: The inbox updates dynamically. When a new email arrives on your domain, it will automatically appear in your inbox list without requiring you to manually refresh the page!
