My Mailbox - Search & Filters

Learn how to quickly search, filter, and organize your email lists inside My Mailbox.

1. Overview

As your inbox grows, finding specific conversations can become challenging. MelMe includes a powerful, real-time Search & Filter bar at the top of your mailbox to help you find precisely what you are looking for in seconds.


2. Why This Matters

Instead of scrolling endlessly through weeks of old emails, search and filtering tools save you time, improve response speed, and ensure you can easily locate past receipts, client details, or attachments.


3. How to Use It

  1. Locate the Search Bar at the top of the mailbox list.
  2. Type in any keyword you are looking for:
    • Sender Name or Email: Type a name (e.g. "David") or an address (e.g. client@gmail.com).
    • Subject Line: Search for words inside the subject (e.g. "Invoice #104").
    • Body Text: Search for specific phrases discussed in the message body.
  3. The email list will automatically narrow down to show matching results instantly.

2. Using Filters

You can filter your emails by their status or attributes:

  • Unread Filter: Toggle this to only show emails you haven't opened yet.
  • Date Filters: Sort emails to find the oldest or newest conversations quickly.

4. Common Mistakes

  • Searching in the wrong tab: If you are looking for an email you sent to a client, make sure you are in the Sent tab when performing your search. Searching in the Inbox tab will only look through incoming messages.
  • Typing too generic keywords: Typing a word like "test" or "email" might return hundreds of results. Be specific to find what you need faster.

5. Tips

Clear Search: To return to your full inbox list, simply click the small "X" button inside the search bar or delete the text in the search input field.
